Who is Orhan?
Orhan Agirdag (PhD in Sociology) is a tenure track professor at the KU Leuven. He is also associated to the University of Amsterdam and a former Fulbright Fellow at the UCLA. His main research interests include inequalities in education, teacher education, multilingualism and religiosity. His work received various prestigious awards and he is an author of more than hundred publications. As a multilingual researcher, he writes in English, Dutch and Turkish. Currently, Orhan Agirdag holds the chair of scientific research at the Netherlands Initiative for Education Research (NRO). Professor Agirdag is regularly invited to give public talks and his opinions are regularly featured in the media.
